Where to Start? Renovations 101

Memories, like birds, fleeting.  One must grasp and hold in heart's hands.

Yes, it has come to this again.  “A time to tear down and a time to build, “ as the writer of Ecclesiastes concluded.  “Tear down?” you ask.  Well, not exactly, but close to it—sort of.  What must come down is seen here.

Why lamp posts, you may wonder.  The old will give way to the new and improved; also, one end of the driveway must extend out a bit to make way for a better swing around an expanded chapel.  (Many, many adjectives will be required to describe tearing down the old and building the new, so hang on!)

Actually, the harbinger of  “tear down…build” (td-b) is the arrival of the trash containers of which two now “grace” the property.  Other things and people have arrived as well, just as other things have disappeared.  And so we see…
